Sasha is a 1-2 year old female Siberian Husky that we adopted on March 7, 2011 and is part of Maya's legacy. Maya so endeared herself to us that we had to honor her memory in some significant way. This is one way we chose to honor her. Sasha was in a kill shelter in North Mississippi according to her PetFinder posting. The shelter was right on the way to the location of Sally and her babies that we were picking up to foster. It was love at first sight! She is a sweet, loving, beautiful girl that (unlike a lot of huskies) is eager to please. She is so full of energy that we have started calling her the Energizer Husky! Unfortunately she tested heartworm positive, but no heart damage was detected. She has now completed her first round of treatment and is doing well. I'll post pics when I can get her to stand still long enough, lol!

Today 04/14/11, Sasha had the final visit of her HWT. Her heart worm test in now negative (Yaayyy) and is off activity restrictions. NOw we can start some serious agility training!
